When a plus sign (+) is used, this indicates that a prefix number is required to dial. Generally this also indicates a Country Code.

To make an international call, firstly you will need to dial the International Prefix of the country you are calling from, followed by the country code of the country you are calling to, then the area code of the country you are calling to and finally the phone number.

For example, if you were calling Phil Hoffmann Travel Glenelg from America you would dial 011 61 8 8350 5700.

011 is the American International Prefix.
61 is the Australian Country Code.
8 is the South Australian Area Code.
8350 5700 is Phil Hoffmann Travel Glenelg's phone number.
